One Step at a Time
I was sad to know that our good friend had problems walking because she injured her ankle. She is in her 60’s and she’s been walking at the mall as her exercise. She believes she overdid the walking last week thus, she hurt her ankle which hindered her from walking for days. I actually thought she tripped or something. That would have been worse because she could have injured something else in her body like her spine perhaps. I know there are always people that we could turn to like the laser spine institute, but prevention has always been better than a cure.
She is in her recovery stage now though and I was glad to know that she could walk a little farther now. She’s taking things slowly, though. Injuring her ankle again is the last thing that she wants to happen.
He’s a Baby No More
With my son’s birthday coming so close, I am getting myself busy looking for the party venue. I already know what to get him as gifts and it’s not one of those JustStrollers.com baby strollers because he’s not a baby anymore. He will be turning nine. Oh boy! Before I know it, I will have a teen already.
And I already know where to get his outfit. It’s just the venue that is mind-boggling to me. There are a lot to choose from, but the prices are just too much. We have a budget to stick to so it’s kind of difficult. Could it have been that his birthday fell in the summertime, it would be easy to just do it at the park. But it’s in March; early spring, yes, but still cool, so outside is not an option.
Art Exhibit
I was browsing my computer folders today when I saw this photo, and it took me back in time when it happened. I actually blogged about it in my other blog before.
Anyway, my son did it. He was only six years old that time and no one told him to do that. I was busy doing my chores in the living room that day when I wondered how come he was so quiet in the bedroom. And when I came in, this is what I saw. I was really amazed! Who wouldn’t? Those were all his works except for the car drawing which my dad did for him. Those yellow stars were the ones that he received from school for doing great in their activities.
Kids’ imagination never fail to amaze me.
