He Turns Nine Today!

Yep, my unico hijo or my only son turns nine today. I can’t imagine that it has been nine years since I gave birth to him. I can still remember the moment when I was in the hospital’s Delivery Room and I saw him for the first time. His skin was so brown just like his dad. I was exhausted that time, but I managed to smile when the nurse showed him to me.

That was such a memorable moment which I will forever treasure. My boy is nine now and before I know it, he’s already a teen.

My Son and Hubby are Basketball Nuts! OOPS! I Mean Fans

Our son’s 9th birthday party is now all set. I sent the invitations last week; we ordered his cake yesterday; we bought all the refreshments; we purchased some giveaways for the kids; we bought his new outfit to wear; and our gift for him is due to be delivered by tomorrow. Want to guess what our gift is? Hint: It’s not a welding equipment. LOL. That’s what my Hubby wants and needs.

I came up with a ‘sports theme’ for his birthday. So, from the invites to the cake, to the giveaways as well as our gift, it is all about sports – basketball to be specific, except for the invitations because we couldn’t find an invitation that only had basketball on it. He’s now into watching college basketball, thus, the theme. The husband has influenced him so much which I am so happy about.

Nine Soon

I really can’t believe how time flies. My son will be turning nine soon. I’ve been a little busy browsing for the best gift to give him lately. The husband and I have already decided on the venue for the party, and we’ve already bought the invitations. He will make a reservation for the venue today, and once it’s confirmed, I will start preparing the invitations to be sent tomorrow. The husband already bought the stamps too which is great!

We’ll be ordering the birthday cake this weekend and buy him clothes to wear for his big day. I think that is it. I’m excited for him. I know he’s so excited too.

Here’s the li’l party that I gave the li’l one on his 7th birthday on March 28th. Only the family and some close friends celebrated with us. I didn’t invite lotsa people for I wanted it to be simple. I don’t have that much budget too that can accommodate them all. But as they say, the simpler the better, and it was.

I wonder what Yogi was thinking while looking at all those food. He’s probably drooling, I guess. Hehe.

He loves his cake a lot – a car racing inspired cake which he chose himself. Nice, isn’t it?

A Year Older

My son Yogi is celebrating his 7th birthday today. I’ll be giving him a li’l party tonight and my whole family together with some close friends are going to celebrate with us. Yogi is so excited and has been excited since yesterday actually.

It’s now 2 o’clock in the afternoon here and they kind of started the celebration already. They are now singing in the videoke to the top of their lungs. Hehe. Dad isn’t here yet though – the leader when it comes to videoke singing. Wait ’til he gets home. LOL.

His cake’s theme is car racing. I took him with me to the bakeshop when I ordered it and he chose it himself. He’s so into cars, that’s why. Dad gave him balloons too but it’s yet to be picked up so I’ll do more decorating later. I still have enough time for that though.

And…I hope everyone will enjoy the food I ordered. Happy Birthday Yogi! Mwah!
